Muscle

Origins: Upper two thirds of the lateral supracondylar ridge of the Humerus

Insertion: Base of the styloid process and lateral surface of the radius

Action: Flexes the forearm at the elbow

Monitoring

Position: lying supine

Rotation: none

Stabilise: none

Monitor: monitor the forearm in a downward angle of 45° with forearm rotated into a neutral position

Corrections

Nerve Supply: Radial - C5&6 Visceral Nerves:

Sympathetic: T2, T3, T4

Parasympathetic: Vagus X

Neuro-Lymphatic Reflex:

Anterior: Bilateral between 3rd & 4th ribs next to sternum.

Posterior: Bilateral 2cm lateral to midline between T3 & T4.

Neuro-Vascular Reflex: Bregma. Yuan point: Lu9
