Origin: Anterior, superior surface of the outer 3rd of the clavicle.
Insertion: Deltoid tuberosity of Humerus.
Action: Flex with some medial rotation of the humerus.
Monitoring
Position: Humerus abducted 20° and flexed 10°
Rotation: thumb pointing directly forward
Stabilise: Dorsal shoulder same side.
Monitor: Apply pressure at the anterior lateral arm above the wrist toward adduction and slight extension.
Corrections
Nerve Supply: Axillary, C5, C6.
Visceral Nerves:
Sympathetic: T2, T3, T4
Parasympathetic: Vagus X
Neuro-Lymphatic Reflex:
Anterior: Bilateral between 3rd & 4th ribs next to sternum.
Posterior: Bilateral 2cm lateral to midline between T3 & T4.
Neuro-Vascular Reflex: Bregma.
