Splenius Capitus
Origin: C7 to T3 vertebrae and lower half of ligamentum nuchae
Insertion: Mastoid process and lateral section of the superior nuchal line of the occipital bone.
Splenius Cervicis
Origin: 3rd to 6th thoracic vertebrae
Insertion: Transverse process of C1 to C4

Semispinalis Capitis
Origin: C4-C7 & T1- T6 vertebrae
Insertion: Between superior and inferior nuchal line of the occipital bone.

Semispinalis Cervicis
Origin: T1 to T6 vertebrae
Insertion: spinous processes of the C2 to C5

Monitoring
Position: Prone, arms behind back. Head lifted off the table.
Rotation: First test no rotation, Second test rotate the head to 45°
Stabilise: Support the head with the other hand
Monitor: Apply pressure against the uppermost aspect of the head toward the table for all positions.
Correction
Nerve Supply: C3, C4
Visceral Nerves:
Sympathetic: L1-L3
Parasympathetic: S2
Neuro-Lymphatic Reflex:
Anterior: Bilateral 2cm from the midline, 2cm superior to the pubic symphysis
Posterior: Bilateral transverse process of L2.
Neuro-Vascular Reflex: Bilateral frontal eminences.
