Insertion: Deltoid tuberosity of the Humerus.
Action: Abducts the arm at the shoulder.
Monitoring
Position: Flex arm 90°at the elbow, abduct Humerus level with shoulder.
Rotation: Forearm at a level plane to shoulder.
Stabilise: None required.
Monitor: Apply pressure at the elbow to adduct the Humerus.
Corrections
Nerve Supply: Axillary - C5, C6.
Visceral Nerves:
Sympathetic: L1, L2, L3
Parasympathetic: Vagus X, S2
Neuro-Lymphatic Reflex:
Anterior: Bilateral anterolateral from hip to knee
Posterior: Bilateral region between L1, L4 &
PSIS.
Neuro-Vascular Reflex: Bilateral parietal eminences-posterior aspect.
Yuan point: LI4
