Origins: Lower margin of the body and inferior ramus of the pubisInsertion: Upper part of the medial surface of the shaft of the tibia.Action: Adducts the thigh at the hip and knee joint and flexes the leg at knee joint, with the leg flexed it assists in medial rotation
