This point provides a gateway to the heart, the great emperor of our life. The heart is meant to be in charge of all of the organs of the body. It is where our spirit resides. It is symbolic of unity, command, power and expression. To be receptive to what is in our hearts we need to empty our mind so that we can receive the insight of the heart. Only when our mind is a void can be truly be fully aware of the wisdom within.
Exercise: take three deep breaths, empty your mind by allowing thoughts to come and go while you focus on your breath (pause). Allow deeper insights into your life to flow past you like a stream as I hold this point.
