MONITORING:

Position: Flex arm 10° anterior at the shoulder and 5° lateral keeping the elbow straight. Rotation: Palm facing midline Stabilise: Opposite pelvic crest Monitor: Apply pressure at the forearm above the wrist toward midline.

  • Posterior: Posterior transverse process of C1

MUSCLE:

Origin: Medial 2/3 of the superior border of the scapula. Insertion: Superior lateral head of the Humerus and shoulder capsule. Action: Initial abduction of Humerus then middle deltoid takes over. Holds head of Humerus in glenoid cavity.
