Cutaneous regions are areas of the skin that are enervated by specific channels. The Lung channel rules the exterior and therefore is the main channel to use for skin related conditions. However, all twelve primary channels express themselves on a portion of the skin. One way of activating the channel is to activate the section of skin related to the channel.

Procedure:

1. A/P I/C H/L 2. Check light, medium, deep, stroking, massage, feathering etc. 3. Rub/stroke as appropriate 4. H/L when finished

Note: the diagrams are based on drawings of the cutaneous regions in Deadman P, M Al-Khafaji & K Baker, 2000, A Manual of Acupuncture and D. Corby CCM.
